METROLOGY DEPARTMENT

RNG has the most modern & latest equipments of Metrology, Metallurgy & non destructive testing to ensure all the components are checked for material dimensions and finish as per stated requirement in the drawing. Very few companies in INDIA posses all these equipments.

1. Laboratory:

a) Well-equipped chemical laboratory.
b) Test facilities for mechanical properties like tensile, impact etc.
c) Hardness testing (Brinell & Rockwell).
d) Metallurgical microscope with display and photographic attachment.
e) Jominy test apparatus.
f) Test equipment for internal soundness tests.
g) Salt spray Test.
h) Surface roughness-testing equipment.
i) Calibration equipment's for measuring instrument.
j) Electromagnetic Crack detecting Machine.

1.A Metrology

a) Dimensional measurements at the required level of accuracy are the essential link between the designer's intent and delivered product
b) All Basic measurement devices like Surface plates/ Dial gauges/ Micrometer/ Verniers/ Gauge Blocks etc to measure are available
c) Coordinate Measuring Machine [CMM]
d) Linear/ Angular/ Geometric Form measurements (like roundness/ straightness/ cylindracity/ flatness etc.)

Use of non invasive techniques to determine the integrity of material, component or structure. (INSPECT OR MEASURE WITHOUT DOING HARM)

a) Control of Vibration to help the elimination of noise & harshness sources are measured by their time and frequency domain.
